The bromance between One Direction band members
Louis Tomlinson and
Harry Styles inspired fans to dub them "Larry," but the singers want the world to know their tight bond is strictly platonic.
"This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with, as I am in relationship [with Hollister model
Eleanor Calder]," Tomlinson, 20, tells Tumblr's
Storyboard. "Me and Harry are best friends. People look into our every move -- it is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public."
"We want to joke around, but there seems to be a different rumor every time we do anything," Tomlinson adds. "I act the same way with Harry as I do any of the other boys."
Rumors about their friendship aside, Tomlinson only has eyes for Calder, his girlfriend of nine months. "I'm a one-woman man with Eleanor," Tomlinson says in
Us Weekly's One Direction special issue (out now). "I'm a very loyal boyfriend."
In fact, Tomlinson met Calder -- who is also a student at the University of Manchester -- through his BFF and bandmate Styles, 18. Since then, the two have been happier than ever. "I'm a bit of a joker," Tomlinson tells
Us. "I can be a romantic -- but not too sickly."
